Is my business web site outdated and in need of a new design?

Have you been wondering lately whether your web site is still cutting it in the current market? Well here are a 3 questions to help you answer that question and help identify whether a few common issues are affecting your site.

Have you updated your site in the last 3 months?

If the answer is no, then chances are you may have search engine visibility issues. The more new content you add to your site, the better search engines will rank you. If you ever hope to make Google’s exclusive first page of rankings, then really you should be updating at least once a day whether that is via a blog such as as this one, or via a newsfeed for example.

So, here’s my next question? How does your web site look on a mobile phone? Or tablet?

If this is not something you have even considered, it might be time to update your web site. The must-have for businesses currently, is a fully responsive site. What does this mean exactly? The short answer… a site that is able to adapt itself to different size screens.

So for example, my site here that you are visiting right now (thank you very much for that by the way), how you are seeing it on your screen right now will be specific to your device. If you are on a mobile phone it should look something like this:

This is a narrow version of my site but with optimised functionality for a mobile device, similarly if using a tablet device it will look appropriate to that size screen, but will work in a way that is easy and straightforward for the user.

Question 3, is your site attracting enough customers?

If your answer is no, we can help. With some simple SEO help and some up to date content, we can help you see those visitor numbers rising in no time.

  1. I have to thank you for the efforts you’ve put in penning this website. I am hoping to check out the same high-grade blog posts from you in the future as well. In truth, your creative writing abilities has motivated me to get my very own blog now 😉

  2. You could definitely see your expertise in the article you write. The world hopes for even more passionate writers like you who are not afraid to mention how they believe. At all times follow your heart.

  3. Heya superb blog! Does running a blog like this take a massive amount work? I’ve absolutely no knowledge of coding but I was hoping to start my own blog in the near future. Anyways, should you have any ideas or techniques for new blog owners please share. I know this is off subject nevertheless I simply needed to ask. Thanks!

  4. Hello this is kind of of off topic but I was wondering if blogs use WYSIWYG editors or if you have to manually code with HTML. I’m starting a blog soon but have no coding know-how so I wanted to get advice from someone with experience. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    1. Hi there, thanks for getting in touch.

Most blogs will have a WYSIWYG editor so don’t worry, coding experience is not necessary at all to begin a blog. They are designed to be really user-friendly.

I would suggest getting started by making a decision on whether you would prefer your own personalised web address or if you are happy to use one such as http://www.thisismyblog.wordpress.org for example?

If you need help with the next steps, do get in touch again, thanks.
